The LG TV Is Unable to Connect to the WiFi (Give This Workaround a Shot FIRST!)
INTRODUCTION
The LG TV does not have a WiFi connection.
If your LG TV would not connect to WiFi, you will need to reset the device. After unplugging your TV, you should wait a full minute and a half. While the TV is unplugged, press and hold the power button for a period of thirty seconds. After the 60 seconds have passed, you should be able to re-plug in your LG TV and have the WiFi functionality restored.(Why won't my LG tv connect to WiFi)
The power button on the LG TV
Despite the fact that this procedure may appear to be
straightforward, it is by far the most common method used to rejoin your LG TV
to the WiFi network. Simply unhooking it from the electrical socket will
accomplish this.
The very most vital step is to hold your breath for the full minute. Wait at least a minute after unplugging it to plug it back in. Showing a little patience will pay out in the long run.
Find the power button on your LG TV and hold it down for a
full minute while the device is unplugged. Make sure you are pushing the power
button on the TV itself and not the one on the remote control.
This will allow the TV to perform a soft reset on itself,
which will help drain any power that may still be left in the device. This is
not the same as simply switching the power on and off with the remote!
After the sixty seconds have passed, you can reconnect the TV
to its power source, and it should turn back on without any problems.
Although this solution ought to be effective in approximately
80% of instances, the remaining 20% are going to be more difficult. If you are
still having trouble connecting your LG TV to your wireless network, try some
of the solutions that are provided below.
A factory reset on the LG TV
Click the Gear icon at the top of your remote control with the
TV turned on (perhaps disconnecting it or removing the remote batteries was
able to temporarily power the TV).
The next step is to go to the All Settings (Advanced Settings)
menu and select General > Reset to Initial Settings. Your TV will display
the initial setup screen once you have turned it off and then back on again.
In essence, this will return your LG TV to the configuration
in which it was when you first purchased it. This means that all of the account
settings, along with any apps that have been installed, will be deleted!
Resetting the factory settings on an LG TV without the remote
Even if you do not have access to the remote control for your
LG television, you are still able to do a factory reset on the device.
Find the button that turns the TV on or off in order to
proceed. Depending on the model of the device you have, this may be located on
the right side, the left side, or the very bottom of the device.
While the TV is turned on, you need to press and keep holding
the power button for about ten seconds. If it does not work, use the joystick
panel control to travel to Menu > All Settings > General > Reset to
Initial Settings on the TV.
